About
## Built for this stage. Not borrowed from another.
For years, women over 40 have been handed two options: the intensity of HIIT bootcamps calibrated for younger bodies, or the low stakes of yoga and light cardio. Neither builds bone density. Neither addresses the physiology of perimenopause. Neither treats strength as the serious, evidence-based practice it is.
Emberhall exists because that gap is inexcusable.
### Our method
Progressive strength training — the kind that builds bone density, preserves muscle, and earns you functional independence at 60, 70, and beyond — requires more than a good playlist. It requires intelligent periodization, coaching on form and load, and a program that accounts for where you are in perimenopause or post-menopause.
Our small-group studio classes (capped at 8 members) combine barbell and dumbbell compound lifts with bone-loading protocols. The Emberhall app carries your program between sessions: your next week's lifts, your tracked progress, and a community of women who are building the same thing.
### Our coaches
Every Emberhall coach holds a strength and conditioning certification and has completed continuing education in menopause fitness. We do not generalize from younger-skewing templates. We build programs for women who want to carry their own bags, hike their own trails, and move confidently through the next 40 years.
### The studio
Our first location opens in 90 days. We're building it deliberately — a room sized for 8, equipped with the barbells, platforms, and bumper plates a real strength practice requires. No treadmills. No mirrors calibrated for a different demographic.
The founding-member cohort shapes how we build. If you're on this page, you're early.
